HTC is reportedly working on a new smartphone
called Ruby a.k.a. Amaze 4G, and the device is likely
to hit the shelves very soon, perhaps later this month.
Reports of the HTC Ruby come in the backdrop of the
images of the device leaked by a Thai website, Droid
Sans.
The images show that the HTC Ruby has a 4.3-inch,
960 x 540 qHD display, an 8-megapixel camera with
dual LED flash, and a
1.5GHz dual-core processor. One
of the most talked about feature of HTC Ruby is its
high bandwidth capability. The new device is said to
be capable of DC-HSPA+ speeds, which ensures
bandwidth up to 42 Mbps.
According to reports, the HTC Ruby runs on Android
2.3 operating system, with Sense 3.5 UI on top. The
device is likely to be available in two different hues -
black and white.
There's no official word on the launch or price of the
device. Though now that a few details have emerged,
we can expect HTC to disclose more about the HTC
Ruby.
Stay tuned for more information and updates on the
new smartphone from HTC.
