NOKIA NORMANDY TO BE LAUNCHED IN MARCH

It seems Project Normandy is indeed real, as a Senior Executive at Nokia India has confirmed that the mysterious Nokia Android handset will be launched in March under the Asha lineup. There is no information regarding the exact date though.
The specs on the highly anticipated Android based handset appear to be identical to those of the Lumia 520, apart from the OS of course!. It will sport a 4' WVGA (480 x 800) screen, 5MP camera a dual-core 1.2Ghz processor, 512 MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory, along with an optional dual-SIM version which is primarily targeted at the Indian subcontinent.
A few weeks back, GigaOM's Kevin Tofelsaid, "it doesn't make sense for Nokia to build Android powered phone, or does it? The company's Asha line still runs on S40. Perhaps an overhaul of the engine powering Asha is in order and Android could easily fit the bill."
